Pictionary Manhattan – Broadway
We like Broadway shows and can’t imagine a trip to NYC without seeing one. Although it’s end of the summer season and there aren’t many good shows, we got the tickets to HAIR; the Broadway production of the famous hippie musical.
Dilara and my mother love the musical and have memorized almost all the songs, so it was a great choice for them. Not as much for me, since I don’t find the 60s hippie movement that interesting. The musical itself was a bunch of naked hippies dancing around. The songs were the best part and one of the actresses had an amazing voice, so it was a bit bearable. Though I have to admit I slept through second half of it.
Looking at the pictures now it seems the most fun part of it was waiting in line and going to Cow Girl in West Village for frozen margarita afterwards.
On Saturday morning, August 29th, after a long, sad goodbye my family left for Turkey. Next time I want to take them on a road trip along Maine coast, but before that we have so many other trips planned.
